A new collaboration of sister research projects
M4ESTRO's voice is now united with the voices of other EU-funded projects, including NARRATE, Tec4MaaSEs, MaaSiveTwin and MAASive, with which we share a common research focus on resiliency in value networks through modelling and Manufacturing as a Service. This collaboration unlocked new opportunities to raise awareness and increase the visibility of our research.
Together with NARRATE, Tec4MaaSEs and MAASive we have recently participated in two amazing events. The first one was the Advancing Digital Manufacturing workshop. It took place on 26 May 2025 and was organised by NARRATE project. The second event was the 31st International Conference on Engineering, Technology and Innovation on 18 June 2025.
At the center of our pivotal conversations at the NARRATE workshop were the use of Generative AI in manufacturing and solutions for operational resilience when unexpected disruptions occur. Our M4ESTRO Project coordinator, Bruno Puzzolante, spoke about our research focus during a roundtable on “Operational Resilience in the Age of AI” which Tec4MaaSEs and NARRATE also joined. Bruno emphasized how the M4ESTRO project is redefining resilience as a dynamic, proactive strategy rather than as a static feature.
On the morning of 18 June, we had the chance to present our work within the framework of the 31st International Conference on Engineering, Technology and Innovation during the session "𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴-𝗔𝘀-𝗔-𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗠𝗮𝗮𝗦) 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀: 𝗔 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗘𝗿𝗮 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲". This time, we participated with MAASive and NARRATE. Bruno Puzzolante joined this panel discussion and spotlighted how digital transformations and self-adaptive systems can empower manufacturers to respond to disruptions with agility and intelligence.
Amplifying Impact
These joint event participations are the result of coordination discussions that we held earlier this year. Our first virtual meeting took place with all five sister projects to explore how we could join forces behind these common goals: (1) spreading awareness of our research findings beyond closed labs and (2) exchanging experiences and lessons learnt on the technical side. The cultivation of such synergistic collaborations among research projects expands their impact beyond individual efforts and greatly contributes to the dissemination and communication of cutting-edge scientific developments.
