Use Cases

TRIMEK use case is focused on the validation of resilient manufacturing services for components in the aerospace and automotive sectors. It will demonstrate a “Metrology as a Service" (METaaS) solution that will integrate resilient manufacturing services into a coordinate-measuring machine system (CMM). The CMM will be able to self-manufacture crucial parts using additive manufacturing technologies and contribute to the manufacturing of tools for complex part quality control.

CARACOL's use case will implement the services of the M4ESTRO platform on an additive manufacturing (AM) production line of Invar mold tools for the aerospace sector. The challenge in this case is to resolve issues related to supply chain disruptions and scarcity of feedstock materials.

INTELLIMECH & FAE use case will showcase a resilient and sustainable approach to efficient management of the Electronic Board's value network. Anchored in the MaaS concept, the approach will rely on end-to-end product traceability and a modular design methodology that will enable refurbishment and reuse of components. This solution will enhance resilience, decrease dependence on raw materials and critical components across the supply and value chain, and contribute to environmental sustainability by minimizing electronic waste.
