Interoperability for Enterprise Systems and Applications (I-ESA) Conference
Since its inaugural edition in Geneva in 2005, the I-ESA (Interoperability for Enterprise Systems and Applications) conference series has become the premier international forum for advancing Enterprise Interoperability (EI) - the capacity of organizations and systems to seamlessly collaborate, exchange information, and operate across technological, organizational, and geographic boundaries.
In today's complex and fast-evolving digital landscape, interoperability is no longer just a technical concern—it is a strategic enabler. The I-ESA conference addresses a broad range of emerging and mission-critical themes, including:
Digital Sovereignty and Data Governance, ensuring organizations maintain control over their digital assets while engaging in global ecosystems
Resilient and Sustainable Enterprise Architectures, enabling businesses to adapt to uncertainty while supporting environmental and economic sustainability
Interoperability in Decentralised and Distributed Systems, such as blockchain, multi-agent systems, and edge computing
AI-Driven Interoperability and Automation, using artificial intelligence to enhance seamless collaboration between systems and organizations
Human-Centric Interoperability, where people remain at the center of decision-making and system interaction
Standardisation and Compliance in Interoperability, promoting global consistency, interoperability-by-design, and regulatory alignment
Interoperability in Emerging Technologies, exploring integration across technologies like quantum computing, IoT, and digital twins
AI and Learning Systems for Sovereign and Adaptive Interoperability, enabling smart, self-configuring enterprise systems
Cybersecurity and Trust in Interoperable Ecosystems, ensuring secure and reliable collaboration across shared infrastructures
Interoperability for Sustainable Manufacturing and Green Ecosystems, accelerating the shift to low-carbon, circular production models
AI-Powered Green Energy Systems, enabling intelligent, interoperable, and sustainable energy solutions
Interoperability for Defense, Security, and Strategic Autonomy, supporting sovereignty in critical national and industrial infrastructures
As global enterprises pursue digital and green transformation amid rising geopolitical and technological complexity, interoperability is now at the heart of achieving resilience, innovation, efficiency, and strategic autonomy.
